Her mother tells her not venure off to make sure she visits her grandmother on time. On her way, she meets a wolf and she tells him where she is venturing. Ideal Students: I believe many students who love classics would enjoy this adaption of the this story. This illustrations work really well with the story. Core Standards: CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.4.9 Compare and contrast the treatment of similar themes and topics (e.g., opposition of good and evil) and patterns of events (e.g., the quest) in stories, myths, and traditional literature from different cultures. This books fits this standard because students need to be able to identify the events that take place in the story with other stories like it.
